OUR THOUGHTS
Finca Buenos Aires is an aromatic, delicate, and complex coffee that we can’t wait to enjoy alongside the brighter weather returning. These beans are a great success of Jairo’s experimental lot that delivers a whole new coffee experience to you. Not only is it a clean and crisp Tabi varietal, but it is elevated with a slight touch of Lemongrass that pleasantly tingles on your palate. Sadly, this coffee is limited edition, so get your hands on it while you can!
ORIGIN
This coffee was grown by Jairo Arcila at the Buenos Aires farm. This coffee was exposed to a dry anaerobic fermentation period of 72 hours with the pulp on. During this fermentation stage, dried lemongrass and tartaric acid were added. Afterwards, cherries were placed to dry on raised beds until an ideal moisture content was achieved.
This micro-lot is 100% Tabi and is a new, unique variety developed by “Federacion Nacional de Cafeteros”. More specifically, this variation is a cross between the Timor Hybrid, Bourbon and Typica.
Jairo Arcila started growing coffee 35 years ago when his father got very sick and could not manage his farm on his own anymore. After just a few years, Jairo managed to purchase his own land and continues growing coffee today.
