This coffee bean proves you don’t need to compromise on quality or flavour when you’re drinking decaf. With notes of chocolate and caramel, it’s perfect for your daily espresso-based drink while notes of black tea offer the kind of crispness we love to taste with various pour over methods.
The Misak, or Guambianos, are an indigenous community based in the Cauca region of Colombia. Maintaining a connection with nature is incredibly important within their culture and this is reflected in the way coffee is grown and managed here. We found the process to be inherently respectful, balanced and considered.
The land is collectively owned by the community and its members work together under a shared social commitment to help one another — handpicking the beans and maintaining the farm’s ecosystems. The manual processes used to produce Colombian coffee beans can be taxing, but labour is sustained by the group alone with no external support needed from seasonal contractors.
In keeping with their philosophy, coffee is processed naturally at a local washing station, sun-dried and then passed through a natural decaffeination process using sugarcane, giving this coffee its amazing notes that we love.
