This is yet another great coffee from the IMH Group. It’s full-bodied, it’s fruity and it’s great for your daily espresso or Aeropress.
The women’s group IMH (Igualdad Mujeres Hombres) is an initiative focused on extending opportunities for women in the Colombian coffee industry and striving for mutually beneficial dynamics between men and women in rural areas.
As well as addressing social inequalities and cultural barriers that prevent women from achieving economic independence and reaching the highest positions of leadership in the sector, it acknowledges the vital role that women play within the coffee supply chain where families (often operating smallholding farms and micro-lots) must work together and share roles to sustain profitability.
In addition to promoting workshops and meaningful exchanges between both male and female coffee producers, members are able to access the specialty supply chain and contribute to better standards for female coffee growers.
The collection of farms belonging to this association are located near the Tatama national park in northwest Risaralda, which provides a unique microclimate for high-quality coffee production. Efforts continue to be made to share knowledge, experiment and refine production techniques to create exceptional coffees worthy of the global specialty coffee market.
