HACIENDA EL JARDIN
Notes: Red Berries, Caramel, Cherries & Dark Chocolate
Roast: Medium Roast
Farmer: Alvaro Naranjo
This is an incredibly versatile coffee bean that we’ve tried with all types of brew methods and found to be generous and rewarding with notes of cherries and red berries coming through nicely. Having said that, the richness of this coffee and the distinct notes of dark chocolate make it perfect for espresso-based coffees, Moka Pot and Aeropress.
Hacienda El Jardín has been in the Naranjo family for 3 generations and is a majestic 170 hectares coffee-producing farm.
We were blown away by the views here and equally impressed by recent efforts to shift processes away from commodity-type coffee production to specialty coffee practices — aimed at unleashing the very best the coffee trees in this area have to offer.
The farm's ecosystems have been carefully managed over the years to produce an exceptional location for both specialty coffee growing and birdwatching.
