OUR THOUGHTS
This is one of our most widely loved coffee beans and we’re incredibly proud to have it in our shops. It offers a pleasing balance of acidity and sweetness, with notes of chocolate and hazelnut adding complexity.
ORIGIN
These Kurumukis coffee beans are grown by great specialty farmers of Colombia’s indigenous people, the Arhuacos.
The community is located in the Nabusimake region (located in the north-eastern part of the Sierra Nevada) where they grow and craft a vast range of amazing products in addition to coffee. They are known for harbouring a deep appreciation for nature and the environment, which makes them especially well-suited to coffee production and the careful maintenance of local ecosystems.
Kurumukis is what the children of this community call themselves and this coffee batch is affectionately named after the Arhuacos youth — the pride and joy of this group.
